Research Fellow (Developmental psychology/ Developmental cognitive neuroscience)
We're looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral Research Fellow who will work with Dr. Peipei Setoh, Psychology, School of Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore to investigate parenting and the socialization of trust and honesty in families.
The fellowship is funded by a 3-year award from the Ministry of Education for Project Honesty, a longitudinal study conducted in collaboration with Singapore's most comprehensive pre-birth cohort study, Growing up in Singapore Towards Healthy Outcomes (GUSTO). The primary objective is to investigate the mechanisms and long-term outcomes of parental honesty and dishonesty to deliver tailored interventions.
This position provides substantial opportunities for PhDs seeking significant experience, mentorship, and networking, as well as close collaboration with the Principal Investigators from different research institutions and considerable involvement in authorship of abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts.
Outside of this study, the candidate will have opportunities for involvement in other projects taking place within the lab.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage in academic activities (prepare manuscripts, reports, grants, and present findings in national and international conferences)
- Perform research duties (e.g., managing the lab's IRB protocol, research grant administration and accounting, maintain budgets, submit reimbursement requests, database management, data cleaning, data processing)
- Recruit, train and supervise undergraduate research assistants and graduate students
- Work with multidisciplinary teams of researchers and stakeholders.
- Provide general support to researchers in the lab
- Assist in teaching of Developmental Psychology at Nanyang Technological University.
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. in developmental psychology, developmental cognitive neuroscience, or a related discipline
- Research experience in early cognitive development / implementation science
- Excellent statistical abilities, demonstrated proficiency in statistical language (e.g, R)
- Applied research skills in methodology development and data analysis
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential
- Good team player, excellent communication and public relations skills
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines
- Candidate should be willing to make a 2-year commitment
