As a Cashier in our Cafe, you are responsible for executing smooth, efficient payment transactions via card and digital platforms, while delivering a high standard of customer service. You play a key role in creating a positive customer experience, supporting sales goals, and maintaining the cleanliness and professionalism of the cashier counter.

2. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive the Sales

• Assist the Store PIC in the areas of cashiering and customer service.
• Execute payment transactions promptly and accurately using card and digital payment systems.
• Provide a welcoming, helpful, and engaging service experience to customers.
• Represent the company's brand image with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Cashless Payment Handling

• Accurately process card and digital transactions using the POS system.
• Perform opening and closing of POS terminals, ensuring all systems are operational and properly shut down.
• Reconcile daily transactions and ensure consistency between system records and printed receipts.
• Maintain a clear, accurate record of receipts and payment reports for audit and documentation.
• Ensure proper authorization for all card payments and compliance with company policies.
• Report any system issues or transaction discrepancies to the Manager promptly.

Maintains Best Retail Standards  

• Maintain orderly appearance of the register area.
• Ensure general POS counter housekeeping and maintenance is at acceptable standards.
• Comply with company SOPs and the Code of Business Conduct.

Personal Development

• Have and maintain at all times integrity and accuracy in the handling of money and company assets.  
• Have and maintain at all times competent knowledge of POS system.
