Store Keeper Job Description
We are looking for an organized, experienced store keeper to be responsible for all stock, staff management, and planning promotional campaigns for the store. Storekeeper is a person who is responsible for goods in a store. Storekeeper is very important person for the store. He is the in charge of store department and also responsible for store control.
Storekeeper Duties & Responsibilities:
• \tReceive and forward all types of goods and deliveries in and out of the hotel to the correct point of storage area.
• \tFollow all standards for issuing and receiving stock within the store's area of operation.
• \tMonitor and take inventory on regular basis to compile orders based on par levels or needs.
• \tMaintain clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
• \tMonitor Periodic Automatic Replacement levels for all food items to ensure proper levels.
• \tResponsible to verify all goods arrived as per the agreed purchase, delivery note and agreed quantity has been received.
• \tResponsible for storage of both food & beverage and operational stock.
• \tResponsible for the day-to-day check on the storage facilities of upkeep and hygiene.
• \tRefuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• \tEnsure cleanliness of all areas, keeping storage areas clean & tidy and in strict compliance with hygiene regulations.
• \tEnsure all store requisitions are signed by concerned Department Heads (HOD's).
• \tEnsure the quantity requested and the quantity issued always matches.
• \tEnsure store requisition form is signed by the person collecting the goods and enter into the Inventory/Materials Management System.
• \tPost all invoices using the MMS - Material Management System.
• \tSpeak with others using clear and professional language.
• \tFollow up on documentation of after-hours issues ensuring it is in accordance with established internal controls and procedures.
• \tAdhere to all Health and Safety procedures particularly relating to food and beverage items.
• \tConduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs.
• \tAssist the Accounts Payable Clerk / payable assistant in finding out any cost discrepancies.
• \tComplete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• \tExtend all requisitions on a daily basis and update the inventory management software/system.
• \tWork closely with Purchasing to order and receive items and equipment.
• \tTroubleshoot any vendor delivery issues and oversee/follow up on the return process.
• \tVerify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs.
• \tPerform any other duties as assigned by the management or supervisors.
Storekeeper Requirements and Skills:
• \tBachelor's degree in retail management, marketing, or related fields
• \tWell experience in retail management or sales
• \tKnowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and budgeting processes
• \tProven ability to develop and implement retail promotion strategies
• \tPositive, friendly, and organized
• \tExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
• \tProficient in Microsoft Office.
• \tThe ability to work under pressure.
• \tAvailability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
