New Life Community Services is a not-for-profit social service agency that seeks to bring hope and purpose to children, youths, and seniors so that they go on to create a positive impact in their community and society.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Manager, Casework & Counselling to lead and oversee case management, counselling services, and intervention programs. This role involves supervising a team of social workers and counsellors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services, and working closely with stakeholders to address the needs of individuals and families in our community.

Roles and Responsibilities

Provision of Quality Services

• Provide timely and responsive services in financial assistance, casework management and counselling to beneficiaries.
• Collaborate with community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to strengthen support networks.

Service Development and Evaluation

• Establish and oversee Case Review processes and systems to ensure adequate accountability and supervision of all cases.
• Develop work plans for the department in alignment with organisational goals.
• Oversee implementation of operational strategies and financial management for the department.
• Lead resolution of operational issues within the department.
• Develop service standards, performance indicators and operating guidelines for the department.

Staff Performance and Development Management

• Manage staff performance planning and coaching at the departmental level
• Training & Development - Assess capability gaps within the team
• Oversee implementation of professional development programmes for the team
• Conduct audits on service quality to ensure compliance with policies.

Resource Management

• Oversee resource allocation, reporting, and budgeting for casework and counselling programs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in casework and counselling, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and crisis intervention skills.
