Manager, Head of Centre (Youth Services)

New Life Community Services is a not-for-profit social service agency that seeks to bring hope and purpose to children, youths, and seniors so that they go on to create a positive impact in their community and society.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Manager, Head of Centre (Youth Services) to lead our youth-focused initiatives and drive impactful programs that empower and support young individuals. This role involves overseeing daily operations, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and program development to effectively support the youth community.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Build professional partnerships and collaborations within the organization and across agencies.

2. Maintain operational efficiency in line with strategic objectives

• Support the organization's missional purpose and values.
• Develop a work plan for the department in alignment with organizational goals
• Oversee implementation of operational strategies for the department
• Lead resolution of operational issues within the department
• Develop service standards, performance indicators, and operating guidelines for the department
• Provide supervision and support to team members for crises and concerns faced by youths

3. Develop organizational capability for service delivery

• Assess capability gaps within the team
• Identify and oversee the implementation of management development and/or professional development programs for the team
• Conduct audits on service quality to ensure compliance with policies.

4. Manage, deploy, and monitor the use of resources, drafting funding proposals for the delivery of services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in social work/ counselling/ psychology

• Minimum 5 years prior experience in youth service or social work, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Independent, possess good organisational skills.

• Knowledge of youth development trends and best practices.
