Regional Sales Manager
IDEC IZUMI ASIA PTE LTD.
Mission:
- Develop Go to Market Strategies on the IDEC's focused products for specific vertical markets in the APAC Region
- Lead the sales team to meet the growth target of product group in the assigned regions
- Develop sales across SEA, ANZ & Middle East as per assigned targets
- Assist distribution channel during customer visits to conduct design-in opportunity
- Regular visits to direct account/customers to maximize IDEC opportunities
- Generate NBO (New Business Opportunities)
- Maintain a strong level of relationship with Distributors & Direct Accounts
- Following the group's pricing and sales policies
- Provide timely and accurate weekly and monthly Sales report to the sales management
- Maintain and share competitive intelligence
- provide customers feedback, market trend and new product development ideas to the sales/product management
- To collaborate with product, marketing, customer service and operation teams to ensure high service level to customers, partners and distributors
Main Tasks:
- Lead, mentor & drive the sales team to help them to achieve sales targets.
- Lead key customers visit and strategic projects & negotiations.
- Develop strong sales plans and strategy to achieve business objectives, profit and market growth
- Communicate, drive & measure sales plan targets.
- Develop strong & positive relationships with channel partners, distributors & end users, gaining an understanding of their requirements, challenges and strategic direction.
- Identify opportunities & create sales strategies to maximize revenue and profits.
- Drive & mentor the sales team in generating & closing new business opportunities (NBO).
- Take full ownership of the opportunity pipeline.
- Recruit, develop, coach and mentor the sales team.
- Set sales team KPI annually & monitor and conduct evaluations.
- Expand the distribution network when needed.
- Survey and analyses each market/region and implement sales marketing strategy accordingly.
- Monthly sales report including forecast and budget to management.
- Maintain competitive intelligence in the current market and provide feedback to product managers in assisting new products developments.
- Understand and share customers' feedback and escalade any issues if required.
- Any other reasonably duties in relation to sales activities as instructed by the General Manager
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achievement of company turnover objective
- Achievement of personal turnover objective
- Achievement of Product and Vertical market growth target
- Achievement of NBO generation & win (number to be defined)
Territory Focus: SEA / ANZ and Middle East. Region to be defined (e.g. Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, S. Korea, Australia)
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is preferred (not mandatory)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in OEM or distribution sales, product management
- Experience working with multiple distribution channels
- Ability to translate customer requirements into workable solutions
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Strong technical aptitude & the ability to understand & communicate technical information
- Strong organizational skills & the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to travel overseas as required
- Good attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
- Ability to analyses sales results, interpret data and prepare action plan accordingly
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus (not mandatory)
- Possess a driving license and a car is desired (not mandatory)
Attractive package based on fixed salary + Variable bonus based on KPI's achievement + Local travel allowance + Telephone allowance.
