Good photography is always a requirement to tell a visual story along with words. You will need to enjoy going to events, talking to hawkers, being proactive and always improving your writing/photography. Proofreading and checking your work are critical before submitting articles to editors. As a Food Content Writer for Delicious Consulting, you are a curator of great gastronomy and need an eye and taste for the next latest food trend.

Crafting social media images/captions are also part of the job as a holistic digital media creator. Photos have to be of great quality to be published, and all formatting and grammar should be up-to-par. Applicants need to be passionate about food, motivated, adventurous, have self-discipline and be serious about developing their professional work skills and ethics.

The gastronomical experiences and flexibility you can get while on the job are worth way more than a desk job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute F&B story ideas, finding new viral content angles

• Optimize content for various digital platforms, including social media and websites

• Monitor and report on content performance & views and make recommendations for improvement

• Collaborate with the Media team to align content strategy with overall content marketing goals

• Utilize digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics and social media advertising to drive traffic and engagement

• Optimize content for SEO compliance to Google requirements

• Ensuring writing and photography are professionally executed

• Attending adhoc food events

• Maintaining a constant flow of organic and client articles

• Crafting effective social media captions and article titles

• Fast turnaround of news-related articles, including weekends if news drops then

Key Qualifications:

• A recognized Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Literature/ Mass Communications or equivalent
• You're a foodie - Good knowledge and exposure to local food culture and heritage
• 1-2 years of proven work experience as a publication writer or a similar role
• Fresh grads are welcomed to apply as well and will be considered for the Junior Content Writer role
• Good photographic eye
• Perfect grammar and spelling
• Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Creativity to think of eye-catching headlines
• Familiarity with web publications
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in digital media space
