Teacher Primary School - English Stream

Fulltime

As the sun rises over the beautiful green Bukit Tinggi Road, the halls of our vibrant school

come to life with the joyful chatter of students eagerly making their way to their

classrooms. In one of our classrooms, you are passionately engaged in teaching a group

of learners, sparking their curiosity and educating them to become global citizens. This is

the essence of our school community, and we are excited to welcome a new member

to join us in shaping the educational journey of our youngest students.

With over 100 years of experience, Holland International School offers excellent

education for children aged 1.5 to 12 years old. Inspired by the International Primary

Curriculum (IPC), we offer both a Dutch and English Stream to ensure children can look

forward to a rich and engaging learning environment.

Our holistic approach to learning empowers children to become the best versions of

themselves through ownership, collaboration and critical thinking. Small by design, we

make sure that each child is given a voice and receives the individual support it needs.

Ultimately, our highly engaged and competent staff is committed to fostering learners

who are happy, confident, and competent - ready to succeed in life.

language instruction per day from our Dutch Language Teachers.

Creating a positive and safe learning environment is essential. You will manage student

behaviour, encourage participation, and teach engaging well-planned lessons. Every

child in our school is unique, so you will need to differentiate your teaching methods to

accommodate different learning styles. You will provide feedback to students and their

parents about their academic performance, building strong connections with our active

parent community.

Effective communication with parents is crucial for a child's educational success. You will

regularly update parents on class activities through our school's online platform and

during parent-teacher meetings.

We are looking for a candidate with a collaborative approach to working. Collaboration

with other staff members is essential for creating a cohesive learning environment

and addressing the diverse needs of students.

- Teaching certification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) and/or a relevant teaching

qualification.

- Proven experience teaching English language and literature to students of

diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Knowledge of phonics instruction

would be beneficial.

- Ability to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, manage

behaviour effectively and promote student engagement.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

- Good understanding of Google Workspace and ICT literate (Apple)

- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, including

the ability to engage in safe practices and undergo necessary checks.

- A willingness to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment,

promoting equity and respect for all students and staff.
