Job Summary:

The Catering Captain cum Driver is responsible for overseeing catering events while also ensuring the timely and safe transportation of food, equipment, and staff to event locations. This role requires strong leadership in managing catering operations, excellent driving skills, and adherence to food safety and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Coordination & Catering Service:

• Supervise and coordinate catering staff during events to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
• Oversee the setup, presentation, and breakdown of buffet stations, dining areas, and event spaces.
• Communicate with clients to accommodate special requests and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and replenishment.
• Train and guide catering staff on service protocols, customer interaction, and event execution.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company service standards.

Driving & Logistics:

• Safely transport food, catering equipment, and staff to event venues in a timely manner.
• Load and unload catering supplies, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Maintain the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the company vehicle.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Follow traffic regulations and ensure the safe transportation of goods and personnel.

Requirements:

• Valid [Class 3] driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in catering, banquet service, or food & beverage operations.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and setting up catering equipment.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays based on event schedules.
