Claims Assistant (1-year contract)

In 2016, we set up China Re Singapore Branch with the approval of a license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Our office is located within Raffles Place, at CapitaGreen on Market Street. Currently, we are writing both life and general business in the Asia Pacific region.
We are now seeking to fill the following position in our Singapore team.
Claims Assistant (1-year contract)
Responsibilities :
• Assist in the claims handling process, including data entry and documentation.
• Update claims records and conduct regular checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support the assessment and calculation of claim liabilities under supervision.
• Prepare claims documentation for approvals within authority limits.
• Assist in monitoring claims developments and compiling loss reports.
• Help in collating claims statistics for underwriting evaluation and reserve review.
• Follow up on claims status with cedants and brokers.
• Coordinate with internal teams on claims updates.
• Support communication with the head office for claims exceeding authority limits.
• Effectively bilingual in both written and verbal communications including communicating with Chinese speaking colleagues in the head office.
Requirements :
• 0-5 years of experience in general insurance claims, preferably in reinsurance.
• Familiarity with MS Excel
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with attention to detail.
• Salary will be commensurate with experience.
