Job Title: Staff Nurse
Office Hours: 5.5 days (Mon to Fri 8.30am-5.00pm; Sat 8.30am-1.00pm). Alternate Wednesday off (after confirmation).
Location: Gleneagles Medical Centre
Job Summary:
Provide a high standard of nursing care to patients. Responsible for reception duties, registration, financial counselling, collection of payment and other administration duties. To assist doctor during surgical procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities
Patient Care Management
• Provide a high standard of care to patients through care management, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to meet the needs of the patients, including educating patients and families. To assist doctor during surgical procedures.
• To ensure and maintain the standards for professional nursing practice and work co-operatively with the other members of the clinic to provide care.
• Perform patient registration for all patients by obtaining patient's addresses, contact details, insurance, information and medical histories accurately.
• Answer phone calls/WhatsApp/emails timely for appointment requests/queries/surgeries.
• Providing chaperone assistance.
• Preparation and dispensation of prescriptions.
• Book laboratory tests/surgeries for patients, facilitate smooth arrangements and ensure results are promptly received for doctor's review.
• Provide accurate financial counselling for procedures/surgeries to patient and the patient's family.
• Assist in applying for insurance LOG & other matters relating to insurance (eg. enquiries).
• Cashiering duties and ensuring accurate closure of daily accounts.
• Submit claims promptly and accurately for corporate patients.
• Ensure that all relevant patient medical reports/forms and ID are scanned and saved.
• Provide patient education on pre-op and post-op instructions (eg.: fasting, admission time).
• Assume additional adhoc duties as directed by supervisors.
Requirements
• Hold a valid registration with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Nursing education qualification.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Work proactively within a team of staff.
• Confident and fluent in English.
• Computer Literacy is required.
• Responsible, dependable, punctual.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a clinic environment.
• Previous experience in a private specialist clinic setting is an advantage. Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.
• Required to work overtime, should the workload demand.
• Able to start soon.
