Job Overview

My client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join their team at a renowned early childhood education centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, a love for teaching young children, and the ability to create an engaging and enriching musical experience that supports their cognitive and creative development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct interactive and engaging music lessons for young children (ages 18 months to 6 years) based on the centre's curriculum.
• Introduce children to rhythm, melody, and basic musical concepts through singing, movement, and instrument play.
• Foster a love for music while developing children's coordination, listening skills, and self-expression.
• Ensure a fun, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
• Adapt lesson plans to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Prepare students for performances and school events as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to support children's holistic development.
• Maintain classroom instruments and resources in good condition.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Music, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
• Alternatively , Grade 8 in Music Practical and Theory from Trinity College London or ABRSM is acceptable.
• Experience in teaching music to young children, preferably in a preschool or early learning setting.
• Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, ukulele, percussion).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for early childhood education and working with young children.

Additional Information:

• Training will be provided for candidates unfamiliar with the centre's curriculum.
