Rainbow Centre ("RC") envisions a world where persons with disabilities are empowered and thriving in inclusive communities.

The Development and Innovation ("D&I") team is dedicated to spearheading transformative initiatives that drive research, training, and innovation to create sustainable impact in our community. With a commitment to advancing knowledge, fostering growth, and promoting best practices, the D&I team strives to be at the forefront of cutting-edge solutions that address pressing challenges and empower individuals with disabilities to flourish.

As a Lead Curriculum Developer, you will play a key role in designing and overseeing a cohesive Teaching & Learning ("T&L") Framework across RC services, ensuring alignment with national and international best practices. This includes leading curriculum development initiatives, evaluating effectiveness through data-driven analysis, and driving continuous improvement. Additionally, you will also foster strategic stakeholder engagement, professional learning, and capacity building among educators to enhance teaching quality.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Design and Review Teaching and Learning Curriculum
  • T&L Framework Design: Collaborate with unit leaders and pedagogical leaders (e.g. LEIs, SSD, HOPs) to design a comprehensive T&L Framework that ensures coherence and effectiveness across all RC services, including Early Intervention ("EI"), Special Education ("SPED"), and Post-18 programmes
  • Curriculum Design Review and Alignment: Conduct periodic reviews of curriculum design and strategic direction to ensure alignment between EI, SPED, and Post-18 services
  • Curriculum Development Taskforce Oversight: Establish and lead curriculum development task forces to oversee curriculum implementation through data collection and analysis, enabling the evaluation and continuous improvement of the T&L Framework

Drive Curriculum and Instructional Excellence
  • Curriculum Framework Adaptation and Alignment: Guide the adaptation of curriculum frameworks by collaborating with RC curriculum leaders to ensure alignment with updated national (MOE Teaching & Learning Syllabuses) and international SPED education best practices
  • Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate strategic discussions on curriculum and pedagogy by engaging SLs, RC curriculum leaders, and the broader education community to gather insights, share innovations, and drive continuous curriculum enhancement

Develop Self & Others and Innovate for Greater Impact
  • L&D Support: Support People & Culture ("P&C") and Rainbow Centre Training & Consultancy ("RCTC") in identifying and addressing competency gaps in training needs by providing course advisories, conducting reviews, and facilitating the delivery of courses and workshops aligned with evolving curriculum developments
  • Continuous Professional Development: Cultivate a culture of professional development among RC educators by playing leading role in professional learning communities and other RC learning events to foster continuous growth and collaboration
  • Guidance to Senior Leadership: Advise senior management on the evaluation, review, and change management of programme structures and processes, ensuring alignment with educational best practices and organisational goals.

Job Holder Requirements
  • A good tertiary qualification in education related area with experience of at least 8 years in curriculum/programme design, preferably in areas associated with EI / SPED
  • Extensive experience working in an EI Centre / SPED school, as working in a SPED-related professional role.

Service is at the heart of RC's purpose and we seek to serve our clients with respect, dedication and compassion, understanding that we are entrusted by society to serve with excellence and the highest ethical standards. Join us if you share our passion and values.
