Responsibilities:

• Ensure the building, equipment, and facilities are in good condition and in compliance with prevailing regulatory guidelines and best practices. These include all air-con systems (centralized and standalone units), lifts, and fire safety system.
• Inspect the building, equipment and facilities, and establish procedures for routine checks and preventive maintenance to prevent deterioration of property.
• Liaise with external contractors to manage elevators, fire and emergency systems, landscape, waste disposal, pest control, etc. to ensure the building facilities are well maintained and escorting and advising external contractors attending the building site, ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures.
• Regular site walk / review to ensure the building's compounds are safe, compliant and well presented.
• Follow-up on building's defect rectifications, modifications and improvements.
• Maintain records and documentation related to facilities management, including inspections, repairs, and compliance.
• Prepare and carry out emergency protocols and procedures.
• Respond to and manage any crises, emergencies, or unexpected disruptions in services (e.g. power outages, flooding).
• Implement sustainable practices and initiatives to reduce the facility's environmental impact, including energy conservation, waste reduction, and green building certifications.
• Develop and manage the budget for facilities and operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
• Offer recommendations and advice to building owner on strategies and steps to take in order to ensure the smooth running of a building property.
• Carry out assessment of the building's security outfit to ensure they are well poised to combat any arising security situation.

• FSM responsibilities including but limited to partnering with tenants to develop and implement safety guidelines and programs, conducting fire drills, inspection, etc.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, workplace safety regulations, and emergency preparedness.
• Respond to inquiries and requests by building occupants and resolving any problems or issues.
• Manage ad-hoc projects and other assigned duties related to facilities and operations.

Requirements:
• Degree / Diploma in Facility Management or other related discipline
• Minimum 3-5years relevant facility management experience with preference for industrial background
• Proven experience in facilities management or operational administration.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance, repairs, and building work is advantageous.
• Good technical knowledge of building maintenance systems and equipment (HVAC, Electrical & Plumbing)
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes.
• Excellent project management and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel
• Able to start work with short notice
• Permanent position

6 days' week with alternate Saturday off
(Monday - Saturday, 9.00am - 6.00pm)
