Your Role

Our Corporate Actuarial Services P&C team is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified IFRS Actuarial Manager to work in our Singapore office.

Your Key Responsibilities

• IFRS Closing: Lead all actuarial aspects around IFRS closing, including checking inputs, analysing, validating, and explaining IFRS results.
• Reporting and Disclosures: Provide IFRS actuarial reports and disclosures as required by local reporting regimes. Assist local finance teams in compiling IFRS regulatory reports as required within local regimes.
• Collaboration: Work with local finance teams and auditors to answer IFRS questions of an actuarial nature. Collaborate with the central IFRS development team to develop and improve existing processes and implement new regions adopting IFRS 17.
• Business Understanding: Work closely with reserving actuaries to understand the underlying business and how it impacts on IFRS results.
• Regulatory Updates: Stay abreast of IFRS financial reporting requirements in assigned markets, ensure ongoing compliance, and work with developers to deliver any required changes.
• Team Management: Lead a high-performance team of two by effectively executing performance management as an ongoing process.
• Project Work: Participate in other projects assigned to the CAS P&C IFRS team.

Your Profile

• Qualified actuary with at least 5 years of relevant actuarial experience in a P&C insurer/reinsurer.
• Excellent understanding of IFRS reporting, ideally for P&C (re)insurers under General Measurement Model (GMM). Experience with IFRS implementation is an advantage.
• Proficient coding skills for automating checking and reporting of IFRS results. Experience with R (and/or Python) and SQL is an advantage.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills to handle conflicting deadlines during reporting times. Ability to work independently and be solution-focused.
• Good interpersonal skills to build professional and effective relationships and communicate key concepts with stakeholders, auditors, and regulators.
