Position Summary:
We are seeking two experienced and certified Licensed Cable Detection Workers (LCDW) or Trained Cable Detection Workers (TCDW) to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for detecting, locating, and marking underground cables and utilities to ensure safe and efficient construction operations. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in cable detection and underground utility management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct cable detection surveys using specialized equipment to accurately locate underground cables and utilities.
• Mark utility locations clearly to prevent damage during excavation and construction activities.
• Collaborate with site engineers and project managers to ensure adherence to safe cable detection practices.
• Ensure all cable detection operations comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Review and interpret utility plans and blueprints to identify potential conflicts.
• Provide detailed reports on findings, including recommendations for cable relocation or protection.
• Coordinate with other workers and relevant authorities to manage detected utilities effectively.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of cable detection equipment.
• Adhere to all on-site safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cable detection and utility identification.
• Valid certification as a Licensed Cable Detection Worker (LCDW) or Trained Cable Detection Worker (TCDW).
• Strong proficiency in cable detection tools and equipment, as well as utility identification techniques.
• Thorough understanding of safety standards and best practices in cable detection.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with site teams and management.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.
