Head of Hospital Team - Direct Servicesis responsible for leading and managing a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate support to children battling cancer and their families within hospital settings. This role ensures the effective delivery of direct services, including emotional, psychosocial, and practical support, while fostering strong relationships with hospital staff and medical professionals.

This role ensures the effective delivery of direct services, including emotional, psychosocial, and practical support, while fostering strong relationships with hospital staff and medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and oversee the hospital team, including social workers, child life therapist, and other support staff.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team expertise in paediatric cancer care.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics to ensure high standards of service delivery.
- Provide clinical supervision for the senior team members.
Program Development & Implementation:
- Design and oversee direct service programs tailored to the needs of paediatric cancer patients and their families.
- Collaborate with hospital partners to integrate CCF services into existing paediatric oncology care plans.
- Ensure all services comply with relevant healthcare regulations and best practices.
Family & Patient Support:
- Provide crisis intervention, counselling, and emotional support to children and families affected by cancer.
- Advocate for the needs of paediatric patients, ensuring access to resources, financial assistance, and supportive care programs.
- Develop and implement programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life for young patients during treatment.
Hospital & Community Relations:
- Act as the primary liaison between the foundation and hospital partners, ensuring strong collaborative relationships.
- Represent CCF in hospital meetings, advocacy efforts, and professional healthcare forums.
- Work with community stakeholders to expand outreach and partnership opportunities.
Operational & Administrative Responsibilities:
- Develop budgets and manage resources for hospital-based programs.
- Monitor program effectiveness through data collection, reporting, and impact assessment.
- Ensure compliance with CCF policies and healthcare regulations.
Requirements:
- Degree / Master in Social Work
- At least 10 years of direct practice experience
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience
- Possess good team management and interpersonal skills
- Able to perform social work administrative function
