Legal Counsel (Cryptocurrency/Blockchain)

We have been engaged by a global leader in the cryptocurrency industry to assist in their search for a Legal Counsel.

Provide legal and compliance advice to senior management on relevant regulatory and operational matters.

• Ensure the company's activities are fully compliant with internal controls, statutory regulations, and external legal and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and manage legal and compliance risks across all business processes and support decision-making with risk assessments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, and official statements.
• Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training to ensure alignment with local and international regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee the protection of the company's intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and industrial designs.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices, contributing to the development of the company's legal and compliance functions.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and handle audits, reporting, and compliance-related filings as required.

Requirements

1. Proven experience working as a Legal Counsel or in a similar legal role.
2. Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies related to digital asset trading platforms in Singapore and globally.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex legal procedures and regulations.
4. Bachelor's degree or higher in Law or related fields..
5. A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant legal experience is preferred.
