Job Summary

The Visual Merchandising Manager will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy that aligns with brand's marketing and sales objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting market research to stay ahead of industry trands, and designing visually compelling in-store displays, window presentations, and layouts that captivate customers and drive sales while managing the budget. The ideal candidate will combine creativity with strong organizational skills to deliver visually impactful experiences that reinforce the brand's identity and appeal to the target audience.

Job Responsibilities

Develop Visual Merchandising Strategy:
  • Create a cohesive visual merchandising strategy aligned with the brand's overall marketing and sales objectives.
  • Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify innovative visual merchandising techniques.
  • Collaborate with brands' principals, cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product design, to ensure a consistent brand image.

Plan and Execute Visual Displays:
  • Design and arrange eye-catching product displays, window displays, and in-store layouts to captivate customers and drive sales.
  • Incorporate visual elements such as lighting, props, signage, and graphics to enhance the visual appeal and storytelling of the displays.
  • Ensure that displays comply with brands' guidelines, quality standards, and legal requirements.

Product Presentation and Styling:
  • Select merchandise for displays, considering factors such as seasonality, product attributes, and target audience.
  • Arrange products in an aesthetically pleasing manner, considering color schemes, textures, and visual hierarchy.
  • Analyze store layouts and fixtures to maximize space utilization and optimize traffic flow.

Training:
  • Provide training and guidance to store staff on visual merchandising techniques, brand standards, and display maintenance.
  • Communicate visual merchandising guidelines and updates to retail team.

Visual Merchandising Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the visual merchandising budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers for visual merchandising materials, props, and display fixtures.
  • Monitor expenses and provide reports on budget utilization to the management team.

Job Requirement
  • Diploma/Bachelor in Visual Merchandising / Marketing / Fashion Design or related field
  • At least 3 - 5 years experience in visual merchandising, retail design, or a similar role, with proven track record of successful visual displays and strategies.
  • Strong eye for design, color, and detail, with the ability to create cohesive displays.
  • Deep understanding of current visual merchandising trends, industry best practices, and competitor strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing and store staff to ensure a unified brand presentation.
  • Independent and strong in planning and time management
  • Ability to lift, move, and set up display fixtures, props, and products as necessary, and comfortable with physical tasks involved in display setup.
