Our client is an established 3PLs company, seeking for an experienced Cold-Chain Warehouse Operations Manager specializing in perishable food logistics to oversee temperature-controlled storage and distribution for a diverse portfolio of food industry clients (e.g., fresh produce, dairy, frozen foods, meat/seafood, prepared meals). This role ensures compliance with food safety regulations, maximizes operational efficiency, and delivers exceptional service to our clients in the perishable goods sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in multi-temperature zones (refrigerated, frozen, deep-chill) for perishable food products.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards and client-specific requirements.
• Manage FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation to minimize spoilage and maximize shelf life.
• Coordinate cross-docking, repacking, and labeling for retail/restaurant distribution.
• Implement recall and traceability protocols for batch/lot-controlled food products.

Compliance & Food Safety Leadership:

• Serve as the facility's food safety leader, ensuring compliance with local authority standards.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare for third-party food safety inspections
• Monitor and document temperature control and humidity levels.
• Oversee sanitation schedules (pest control, equipment/facility cleaning) and GMP enforcement

Client & Vendor Relationship Management:

• Provide clients with customized reporting on inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, and temperature compliance
• Support business development by assisting in new client onboarding and solution design.

Team Leadership & Efficiency Optimization:

• Train and lead warehouse teams in food-safe handling practices (allergen control, spill response)
• Optimize labour and space utilization to reduce costs while maintaining food integrity
• Implement lean logistics practice to minimize waste and improve dock-to-stock times
• Utilize food-specific WMS for real-time inventory tracking.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Food Science, or related field (preferred).
• Experience: 5+ years in 3PL/cold-chain warehousing with food industry specialization.
• Expertise in food-grade warehouse management (WMS, traceability systems).
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, blast freezing, and food-safe packaging.
• Strong leadership, client-facing communication, and problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
