POSITION SUMMARY
Capella Hotel Group seeks a Strategic Content & Social Media Manager to orchestrate the digital presence of the Group and our Capella and Patina brands. Based in our Singapore corporate office, this role combines strategic vision with hands-on excellence, and calls for a skilled storyteller who can oversee our social media presence with sophistication and cultural sensitivity.
Working closely with both corporate and property teams, you'll establish cohesive guidelines and deliver ciompelling content that elevate our brands while allowing each property's distinctive personality to shine through. This role requires someone who can masterfully blend strategic thinking with creative finesse, ensuring our digital presence reflects the Capella or Patina experience and boosting the group's leadership in the luxury hospitality landscape.
The Strategic Content & Social Media Manager will report to the Corporate Director, Communications and work closely with hotel marketing teams within Capella Hotel Group.

The Strategic Content & Social Media Manager will report to the Corporate Director, Communications and work closely with hotel marketing teams within Capella Hotel Group.
THE ROLE
1. Social Media and Content Marketing Strategy Development:
- Align social media and content initiatives with overall marketing and brand strategies.
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media and content marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and loyalty.
- Identify and capitalise on emerging social media and content trends and platforms to keep the brand at the forefront of digital innovation.
- Ideally, be able to strategically use social signals to boost SEO and enhance e-commerce performance.
2. Content Creation and Management:
- Oversee the development, distribution, and strategic efforts of creating messaging and content across guests' digital touchpoints with a focus on social platforms while aligning with the brand website and email communications.
- Collaborate with corporate and property teams to craft and execute content strategy that supports the customer travel planning funnel, from awareness to consideration to booking.
- Work with internal teams to select visually compelling and authentic content that resonates with our target audience.
- Leverage user-generated content and partnerships from the Capella and Patina to amplify reach and credibility.
3. Guidance and Support for Properties:
- Provide training, guidance, and support to teams at individual properties.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all property-level social
- media accounts.
- Share best practices, tools, and resources to empower property teams to effectively
- manage their social media presence.
4. Performance Analytics and Reporting:
- Guide and manage agency to track, analyse, and report on key social media and content marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.
- Provide regular performance reports and actionable recommendations to individual properties.
- Use data-driven insights to optimise content, improve engagement, and achieve business objectives.
5. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Work closely with the marketing, lifestyle, and digital teams to integrate social media and content marketing efforts with broader marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the wider teams to enhance the customer journey through social media touchpoints, driving engagement and eventually bookings.
- Liaise with external agencies and partners to amplify social media and content marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Coordinate with digital marketing team to align the effort to drive tactical campaigns.
TALENT PROFILE
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years' experience in social media and content marketing management, preferably within the luxury, luxury hospitality or lifestyle sectors. Experience working in an agency environment driving multiproperty campaigns is welcome, as is the ability to impart best practices.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media and content marketing campaigns, including orchestrating social as part of the customer journey to drive brand awareness, preference, engagement and bookings.
- Exceptional storytelling, content creation, and copywriting skills with a dynamic and engaging writing flair. Ideally, an ability to analyse data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Highly energetic, passionate about brand building, and a creative thinker with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of trends.
- Excellent communication, project and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in guiding and mentoring junior team members or property level social media managers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Work Experience
- Experience in a luxury hotel is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Excellent command in written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal, telephone and customer service skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A good team player with approachable character, positive attitude and strong ownership.
- Must be a highly motivated individual with ability to multi-task effectively, well organized and flexible in a change and eye-for-detail.
