ABOUT AMS

The Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS) business, part of the Global Business Unit Land and Air Systems, is providing leading edge Air Traffic Management (ATM), Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM), Security and Digital Aviation solutions for the Commercial and Defence sectors.

The AMS business manages 11% of the world's airspace and with revenues of over 500 million Euros worldwide, is the global market leader in airspace management solutions. In Singapore, the business focus is the delivery and support of two key ATM solutions including TopSKY-ATC(HE) and LORADS-III.

This role will support the establishment of the Engineering Environment (E2) in Singapore for the AMS Centre of Competence (CoC) and work closely with the E2 team in Australia.

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The purpose of the Product Owner role is to achieve our AMS vision of moving the Engineering Environment into Cloud as well as help achieve our goal of becoming a data driven organisation.

As a Product Owner, you play a crucial role in defining and prioritising the product backlog, ensuring its alignment with business objectives and guiding the E2 team towards delivering high-quality products.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Product Owner, you are accountable for:

Deliver the Engineering Environment capabilities to provide support to the Engineering Disciplines & Projects by:

• Bringing the right level of support to the RUN, all solutions combined (Engineering Factories on premises and Cloud) with an SLA

• Planning, estimating and managing BUILD activities in line with business objectives and priorities

• Supporting, with the IS/IT & ECC (of each country/site) and TDF, the deployment, configuration and administration of the various networks, environments and tools necessary for engineering activities while ensuring compliance with the local security rules

• Managing COTS/OSS, licenses, for tooled development environments in accordance with the AMS Engineering headquarters

Contribute to the BL engineering transformation deployment for AMS and SIAM by:

• Working closely with the AMS Engineering Environment Manager (E2M) APAC to gather the local needs and contribute to the E2 strategy and product roadmap aligned to the AMS objectives

• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritise features/stories and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy

• Estimating and planning E2 feature backlog and development for the product

• Actively mitigate roadblocks and risks impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals

• Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities

• Discussing with the various process, practices and tools communities of the Group in order to improve the sharing of knowledge, know-how and their capitalisation

• Supporting co-engineering activities with other engineering disciplines (System, Software and Hardware & Infrastructure) and facilitate user demos with team members for direct feedback

• Supporting the Projects in their migration to the new E2 solutions.

• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, customer needs, the Group initiatives and technological advancements to ensure the product remains competitive and relevant

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, IT or related discipline

Essential Experience

• Experience working within a large international organisation and complex project environment

• Have an Agile culture and know Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean frameworks

• Have knowledge of software engineering environment in a Cloud environment

• Demonstrated ability to achieve effective outcomes in a multidiscipline, multi-culture environment

• Coaching and sharing of his/her know-how
  • Capability to manage various stakeholders having different objectives

• A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.

• Comfort in facing and managing complexity

• Sound judgement and independent decision-making capability where necessary

Desirable:

• Agile software development

• Cloud networking skills

• Cyber security knowledge (i.e. the latest risk assessment techniques, threat modelling approaches, cybersecurity threats, and best practices)
