What you will be doing

• Liaising with clients and colleagues to ensure timely facilitation of information
• Learning and understanding contracts, charter parties, shipping documents, laytime terms and statements
• Processing of demurrage claims and settlements and other miscellaneous claims such as shifting, AWRP, Zakat tax etc
• Reviewing owner's demurrage calculations and clarifying all the events with agents, master, operators and charterers
• Ensuring all time bar notifications are passed on and making sure all valid claims are received within time bar periods
• Negotiate with customers as to the correctness of demurrage claims
• Other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned

What we are looking for

Key Attributes

• Possess at least a Diploma qualification, ideally in a logistics/supply chain, or Maritime company
• Fresh graduates are welcome and training will be provided
• Excellent written and oral English skills
• Good telephone manner and strong communication skills are essential
• Mature, meticulous & well-organised
• Hands-on and positive attitude
• Possess team spirit
• Able to work independently
