Part-Time Lecturer for IN6242 Deep Learning Foundations
We are seeking a part time lecturer to teach the course, IN6242 Deep Learning Foundations. The course is offered in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information's MSc in Information Systems (MSIS) programme. The course aims to teach students the foundational mathematics and programming skills necessary for creating basic neural networks and deep learning models from the ground up. Additionally, it is designed for those keen on comprehending the essentials of linear algebra, calculus, probability, statistics, algorithms, and data structures. The goal is to provide a foundational understanding of machine learning and deep learning methods for developing neural network models from scratch using a programming language.
The preferred candidate should have either experience teaching at the graduate/undergraduate level or relevant industry experience and have knowledge of the topics covered in the course. The course format consists of a three-hour weekly session that comprises lectures, tutorials and/or seminar discussions. The instructor will be responsible for leading each three-hour session in addition to syllabus planning, class preparation, marking for assessment and student consultation.
