The NTU Office of Commercial and Auxiliary Services (OCAS) is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and marketing of commercial real estate (F&B, amenities & lifestyle services), hospitality and auxiliary services (car parks and shuttle bus services) in NTU main campus and NTU@one-north.
OCAS is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to take on the role of Deputy Director, OCAS. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, oversight, and continuous enhancement of NTU's campus vibrancy initiatives, hospitality offerings, auxiliary, and corporate services. This role plays a critical part in advancing the university's broader aspirations by delivering services and experiences that connect and enrich the NTU community - including students, staff, faculty, and visitors. In doing so, the Deputy Director supports NTU's positioning as a leading global university, integrating campus life with vibrant, world-class environments

This role plays a critical part in advancing the university's broader aspirations by delivering services and experiences that connect and enrich the NTU community - including students, staff, faculty, and visitors. In doing so, the Deputy Director supports NTU's positioning as a leading global university, integrating campus life with vibrant, world-class environments
Key Responsibilities are as follows:
- Strategic Oversight and Leadership: Shape and drive integrated strategies across hospitality, transport, commercial services, and campus vibrancy to support the university's broader mission.
- Asset & Infrastructure Management, Enhancement and Optimisation: Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and efficient utilisation of hospitality assets, including accommodation, event spaces, and F&B outlets. Develop and drive strategies to ensure consistent quality and profitability. Lead major refurbishment and infrastructure projects such as NEC and the Campus Clubhouse.
- Safety, Service Excellence & Compliance: Champion quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and a culture of service excellence across all operations.
- Corporate Services: Oversee a shared services team that supports administrative and financial functions across the department, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Financial Management and Independence: Develop and lead the strategic financial plan, ensuring that revenue generating unit becomes and remains self-financing.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience with at least 6 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably within a university or large-scale event environment and overseeing a major refurbishment project.
- Proven track record of managing diverse and concurrent operations, enhancing customer experiences, and driving profitability.
- Experience in overseeing shared services or internal corporate support functions is advantageous.
- Extensive experience in managing high-value service contracts and strategic partnerships.
- Extensive experience in fostering and sustaining collaborations with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using hospitality management and/or facilities management software and tools.
