JOB SUMMARY
  • The role will be part of Group Payment Product Management team within Transaction Banking business focusing on Cross Currency Payments Product Suite.
  • In this role, the individual is expected to help drive initiatives within the product management team to help establish a strong product suite that will allow for the successful scaling of the cross-currency payment business. This role works in partnership with Markets, Global, Regional & Local Product Managers, Structure Solution Design, Product Development, Technology, Operations and Functions stakeholders.
  • We are looking for self-driven individuals who understand cross currency payments and are eager to drive initiatives in a collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver on the product roadmap and business commitments:
  • Hands on execution and driving key product initiatives that will include launching new products and enhancing existing offerings.
  • Interact with cross functional partners across Sales, Product Development, Operations, Technology, Service on global, regional and country basis to ensure product initiatives are prioritized and in line with the Product roadmap and business commitments.
  • Product Governance and Risk Management - Build efficient partnership with second line of defence (Compliance, Legal, Operational risk, etc), to ensure the product flows being conceptualised fit to the bank and industry risk/regulatory guidelines. Complete all necessary governance documentation to the required timelines and standard.
  • Product Development - work closely with product development, technology and operations to create solutions that deliver to client needs and are replicable and scalable.

Commercialisation of cross currency payment product:
  • Ability to identify opportunities to enhance the overall product experience.
  • Support Sales team in deal engagements, identifying and executing opportunities to drive growth.
  • Develop and refresh Client value propositions through various product collateral formats for both internal and external distribution.
  • Work with Marketing for awards pitches, external publications etc.

P&L responsibility:
  • Understand the P&L drivers, pricing models, FX margins and improve on them.
  • Track and drive volume/Fee Income through partnership with Sales and Regional and Local Product

Stakeholder Management:
  • Maintain regular connect and engagement with key stakeholders to position the solutions and be an ambassador for the underlying business.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Strong mindset to identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Business or equivalent disciplines. Degree in Information Technology is an advantage.
  • Prior experience on Payments Products either in a Bank or Fintech.
  • Good understanding of API and how these are used in the Banking sector.
  • Project management, and analytical problem-solving skills. Understanding of associated tools is a plus.
  • Prior Product management experience in multi country business model.
  • Ability to work to tight timelines and at the same time produce a quality deliverable.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at different seniority level within business, operations, and technology.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
  • 7+ years of relevant banking experience
