This role is required to:
- Investigate Potential Inappropriate Sales ("PIS") lodged against the Bank on investment products like bancassurance, fixed income, mutual funds, and structured notes.
- Review, investigation, engage and resolve disputes lodged with Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre ("FIDReC").
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To review Client's raised allegations on PIS, conduct investigation into allegations (review all relevant documentation, conduct interviews), and prepare investigation reports.
- To review Clients' claims in disputes lodged with FIDReC, conduct and prepare investigation reports on PIS, Fraud or Service related complaints.
- To handle various levels of clients' disputes, ensuring that they are dealt with in a fair and timely manner.
- Deliver professional and excellent client experience by providing accurate, relevant and timely information on our products and services.
- Investigate and review issues raised in disputes and preparing appropriate investigation reports.
- Being able to work independently and taking ownership of issues.
People & Talent
- Independent daily productivity towards meeting set targets and ensure consistency in quality of work.
- Individual responsibility to manage any escalated complaints.
- Prior banking sales, banking operations or investigation experience preferred.
Governance
- Identify opportunities and contribute suggestions for process improvement during the review of findings.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Lead the Client Experience team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Our Ideal Candidate
- 4 plus years of experience in banking processes..
- Experience Macros and powerpoint is preferred .
- Experience in Compliance is a plus
- Experience in a client experience/ complaint resolution: case management preferred
- Familiarity in banking processes and regulatory requirements is a plus .
Role Specific Technical Competencies
- Good writing and communication skill.
- Powerpoint
- Excel (knowledge of Macros/Pivot) is an advantage.
