We are currently recruiting an Assistant Executive who will join the animal research facility at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The animal facility is at the Research Support Building, located on the Nanyang campus, and mainly housing rodents for research to the university scientific community.

We are looking for an Assistant Executive/Executive to assist in all aspects regarding the husbandry needs of animals in the Animal Research Facility, from checking on the animals, changing soiled cages, stocking up supplies, and maintaining a clean facility thereby enhancing the research work of the different users.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be working in the Animal Research Facilities at Research Support Building in Nanyang Technological University, which is licensed by the Animal and Veterinary Services at NParks.
• The successful candidate will also be required to work in the Animal Research Facilities at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, which is licensed by the Animal and Veterinary Services at NParks if the need arises.
• The Animal Research Facilities at Nanyang Technological University, Research Support Building, holds mainly rodents of SPF and non-SPF health status as well as an ABSL 2 facility in the building.
• The Assistant Executive will be working with a team of dedicated staff to ensure that animal husbandry and up-keep of the animal areas in the facility are carried so that the facility is maintained in a functional and operational state. You will also be responsible for performing procedures requested by the researchers as directed by the Facility Manager.

Requirements

• You must have at least a ITE in any Science discipline or at least 2 years' experience working in an animal facility as an animal husbandry staff.
