A highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow is sought for Dr. Sampath's laboratory in A*STAR Skin Research Labs, Singapore. This group focuses on exploring and developing RNA therapeutics for various epithelial disorders, including proinflammatory skin conditions and cancer. Delineating the underlying molecular mechanisms and visualizing these interactions, the objective is to identify specific targets and develop targeted therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work on a couple of these projects, which involves 1. Design and development of an innovative strategy (RNAi-based) for therapeutic intervention of the target gene. 2. Evaluate the efficacy of the pharmaceutical composition by in-vitro assays, ex vivo and in vivo model systems.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Cell Biology or Molecular Biology
• At least one first-author publication in an international peer-reviewed journal
• Experience in RNA work advantageous
• Highly motivated.
• Willingness and ability to develop new skills.
• Excellent oral, written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
