As an Associate within the Credit Risk team, you will manage counterparty credit exposures and relationships, ensuring all activities are executed, approved, monitored, and reported in line with our guidelines. You'll engage with clients, stay informed about industry trends, and collaborate with various business units to manage credit exposure and support cross-selling efforts.
Job responsibilities
• Assist in the end-to-end execution of transactions, including due diligence, credit analysis, and financial modeling
• Recommend internal credit ratings based on thorough analysis
• Monitor the portfolio, prepare regular reviews, update credit lines, and resolve exceptions
• Support local legal entity risk management in compliance with regulations
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business front lines
• Anticipate key risks and propose structural solutions to mitigate such risks
• Become an Subject Matter Expert (SME) on sectors covered
• Take strong ownership of the portfolio and lead trades/transactions and manage end-to-end credit processes
• Flex communication style to suit senior/junior/internal/external audiences
• Mentor junior Associates and Analysts in the team
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk, credit analysis, or financial modeling
• Strong quantitative ability in analyzing and interpreting financial statements
• Credit-trained with the ability to draw well-thought-out conclusions
• Proficient in written and verbal communication in Mandarin Chinese, required to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders from China
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and self-motivated
• Understanding of financial statements, ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and basic accounting standards
• Ability to work proactively and independently, as well as in a team environment
