The Office of Academic Services plays a key role in advancing the University's educational goals through implementing and administering the academic policies established by the University's academic body. We provide academic services for students from the time of their matriculation to their graduation.

Being part of a team that manages students' assessment, progression and award, the key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
  • Preparation for results processing: maintain and update academic records for students on Leave of Absence, credit transfer, exemptions, programme withdrawal and change of programme.
  • Processing of academic results: creation of exam records, course withdrawal, handle dissertation results related matters, marks processing, release and review of results.
  • Post release of results activities: support administration of Medals and Prizes, compile and filing of mark lists and reports, and provide the relevant student academic information to stakeholders within the NTU community.
  • Support the degree conferment process and regular data provision to MOE.
  • Handle role-based mailbox and maintain access for secured folders.
  • Attend to queries from stakeholders (e.g. students and Schools) on areas related to academic records.
  • Support senior officers implementing policies and guidelines for proper governance, and to assist in advising Schools on procedures and guidelines.
  • Support business process streamlining, designing of workflow, process automation and system enhancements.


The key requirements are:
  • A Diploma holder with at least 3 years of relevant working experience in administration preferably in academic services in a tertiary institution, or a Degree holder.
  • Proficient in office IT applications and Microsoft Office suite of application.
  • Possess working knowledge of database and process management.
  • Familiar with the Personal Data Protection Act, in relation to collection, use and disclosure of student personal data.
  • Working knowledge of VQL will be an added advantage.
  • Meticulous and organised.
  • Proactive, efficient and able to multi-task.
  • Able to work independently and be a good team player.
  • Good communication skills, able to express ideas clearly and concisely (written and oral).
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to collaborate with people at different levels of the organization.
  • Service-oriented mindset.
