Hiring Institution: NTU
- Promoting students' personal growth through co-curricular learning arising from student-led activities, leadership development initiatives, residential hall programmes, inclusion and integration efforts, community engagement initiatives and sports,
- Facilitating meaningful engagement among key stakeholders within and outside of the NTU community,
Key responsibilities of the Manager, Inclusion & Accessible Education, SAO, in alignment with NTU's strategic goals, include the following:
- Drive the development and implementation of the life skills equipping strategy and workplace transition programme for NTU's students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Lead the design, development and implementation of a strategy to equip NTU students, staff and faculty on inclusion matters.
- Manage a portfolio of students with SEN, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to put in place the necessary support and/or services.
- Contribute to the development of an NTU environment which facilitates the adoption of inclusive and integrative practices by the NTU community.
- Contribute to quality improvement projects to bridge gaps identified in student case management and support services.
Job Requirements:
- A degree from a recognised University related to social studies, special education or management.
- Good working knowledge on development and management of projects related to disabilities and related support services.
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in project management, overseeing cross-functional teams and managing resources, in particular in relation to persons with SEN and/or disabilities.
- Strong analytical skills to identify challenges and develop and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills (written and verbal), especially in working collaborative with university students and colleagues from different cultural and disciplinary backgrounds.
- Prior experience in the tertiary education sector will be advantageous.
