Regional Trade Product Manager

Job Summary
Manage and deliver the TB end-to-end product objectives within the country for Trade in alignment with global objectives for the product line , including financial and non-financial performance, enhancement of capabilities, product and client access future strategies, and oversight of risk and governance in alignment with the Product Head for Trade.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Performance and profitability
• Responsible for the Doc trade product P&L within the country and region including responsibility over pricing for the assigned trade products.
• Work with the Country TB head in the management of the country CAs.
• Determine standard product pricing for the product line.
• Develop jointly with the Sales team a strategy to meet country and regional objectives, in line with the overall Transaction Banking strategy.
• Drive end to end product performance, improving efficiency through the e-agenda, straight through processing, ensuring scalability to grow
Key Responsibilities
Product Management and Development
• Work closely with ASEAN and South Asia Regional Head as a market performance manager to establish a trade strategy, business case, track P&L and execute initiatives.
• Support launches of product enhancements, new products/variations, as required for Trade.
• Work jointly with Relationship Managers / Sales to improve product offerings, understand customer needs and develop the client value propositions that will address them across client segments.
• Conduct product training across segments for sales (RMs/CMs/Trade Sales) and other stakeholders (CSG/Trade Ops).
• For the trade products assigned, improve processes for better customer experience resulting in growth in trade revenue in line with the Country Addendum and Product Program Guidelines
Commercialisation
• Define detailed scope, success KPIs, system/ process/ people requirements & work the Region leads and front line teams to deliver commercial outcomes
• Understand the needs of customers and prospects, and implement structures and solutions to meet these needs ensuring delivery of Trade.
• Provide ongoing support and training to Trade Sales, Client Managers, & Relationship Managers to provide assistance to facilitate the closure of large or complex deals.
• Ensure all assigned product initiatives are closed within the agreed timeline.
Leadership
• Be a lead market advocate for Trade Products in Asia and South Asia Cluster
• Establish excellent working relationships with external business partners as an ambassador to Standard Chartered's brand
• Act as an advocate for all Trade Products by driving continuous product and roadmap improvements to address changing customer needs.
• Participate in external engagements and initiatives to promote our Trade thought leadership.
Risk & Governance
• Keep abreast of regulatory or internal policy changes related to the products and the business and assess the implications and impact to the business of such changes
• Partner with key control functions (e.g. Operational, Credit, Legal, Compliance) to mitigate operational and conduct risks related to the product line.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Standard Chartered's clients and assets by adhering to policies and apply sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.
• Work with operations to improve overall service standards and to ensure that quality of service to customers. remains superior to competition
• Engage and escalate material red flags that arise in the transaction flow
• Monitor and manage the risks arising from the delivery of the Trade product within your [region/product/portfolio]
