At the Centre for Effective Living (CEL), we are committed to building people and celebrating effective living. Founded in 1988, our team, composed of psychiatrists, psychologists and counsellors, has worked closely with many local and multinational organisations. in identifying and maximizing the potential of individuals and teams, and in promoting and maintaining psychological well-being and growth. 

 

In addition to the clinical work which is a core component of our practice, our consultants deliver wellness talks to our corporate clients on a regular basis to promote mental wellness, while our team also provides Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) support to help affected individuals manage stress reactions to critical incidents occurring on or off the workplace.

 

The role of the Counsellor is to empower clients in (re)-attaining self-sufficiency, uncovering and activating their own strengths and available resources to make changes and improve their quality of life.  The Counsellor is to facilitate the change through appropriate evidence-based interventions throughout the period of counselling.

 

Requirements

 

·       Minimum Masters' degree in Psychology or Counselling, Social Work, or related mental health discipline with relevant internship in counselling. Preference will be given to those with a Masters degree in Counselling

·       Minimum two to three years of experience

·       Competent use of various software such as the Microsoft and Google suite, and at least 3 different virtual meeting applications

·       Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills.  Individuals who are multilingual are also preferred

·       A strong team player
