The School of Art Design and Media (ADM) in collaboration with the Robotics Research Centre 2 (RRC2) at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant for the project Anticipatory Robotics.
Project Introduction:
The project titled Anticipatory Robotics aims to improve Human-Robot Interaction by developing a "Robot Body Language" wherein messages including emotions are incorporated into the movements of collaborative robots.

Project Introduction:

Key Responsibilities:
- Design animated and motion-capture trajectories of a single-arm robot while incorporating different emotions/messages into the robot movements
- Conduct literature review to support research
- Manage project-related administrative work
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Arts
- Familiarity with 3D animation (blender) and Motion Capture
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Good team player
- Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed
