CLIC Senior Research Fellow (Project Coordinator)
Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition CLIC is a research collaboration between the University of Cambridge and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and hosted by the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES) that aims to develop neuroscience-based interventions for lifelong flexible learning. Launched in October 2020 and funded by the National Research Foundation Singapore, CLIC brings together a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, neuroscientists, linguists and educators who conduct innovative research in the science of learning.
The position is based in Singapore and the role is expected to develop the international collaboration of CARES and expand the CLIC goals in cognitive neuroscience leading to growth on the fields of scholarship as it enters this exciting new phase. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis until 30th September 2026 in line with the funding grant end date, with the possibility of an extension subject to securing grant funding for the continuation of the project.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate actively within and outside the institutions to complete research projects and advance thinking.
- To extend, transform and apply knowledge acquired from scholarship to research and appropriate external activities.
- Write or contribute to publications or disseminate research findings using other appropriate media.
- To assess, interpret and evaluate outcomes of research.
- Make presentations at conferences or exhibit work in other appropriate events.
- Routinely communicate complex and conceptual ideas to those with limited knowledge and understanding as well as to peers using high level skills and a range of media.
- Mentor colleagues with less experience and advise on personal development.
- Coach, train and support colleagues in developing their research techniques.
- To carry out or contribute to appraisals as appropriate.
- To supervise or co-supervise other researchers.
Job Requirements:
- PhD specialising either in experimental psychology, behavioral economics, social psychology, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, neuroscience (basic, cognitive or computational), organizational behavior, linguistics, education or biopsychology.
- At least three years of postdoctoral research experience at the level of Research Fellow, or equivalent experience
- Possess sufficient breadth/depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to develop research objectives, projects and proposals.
- A developing bibliography of research publications.
- A track record of securing research funding
- Willing to take a leading role in the coordination and co-supervision of research students
- An interdisciplinary and collaborative research approach.
- Willingness to undertake management and administrative duties.
- Will continually update knowledge in the specialist area and engage in continuing professional development.
- Experience in managing own workload.
