School of Social Sciences is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Assistant.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of a research team that advances our research investigating the neural, physiological, and cognitive correlates of perceiving real vs fake information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day to day coordination of funded projects.
• Prepare ethics documents to institutional review boards.
• Participant recruitment.
• Data collection using neurophysiological recordings, such as electroencephalography.
• Data processing and analysis.
• Liaise with stakeholders and project collaborators.
• Systems administration, including maintenance of network servers and data security.
• Contribute to the production of research reports.
• Perform other tasks as required by the Principal Investigators relevant to the research.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors (Honours) degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience or related field from university of good standing.
• Experiences in cognitive experiments and/or neuroimaging (EEG) and/or eye-tracking techniques and knowledge of Python, R, or MATLAB are desirable
• Good project coordination and administration skills, including data management and storage.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English is essential as the Research Assistant is expected to participate in scientific
  
  presentations.
• Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines.
• Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed.
• Task-orientation, excellent organizational skills, attention to details and accuracy, flexibility in responding to fluid
  
  situations, good interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
