Adjunct Associate Professor (Materials Science and Engineering)
The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, is seeking an Adjunct Associate Professor specialising in developing next-generation functional complex oxides to join its mission to educate and inspire interdisciplinary trained Materials Scientists and Engineers beyond the decade, create intellectual value, inspire need-based research, and translate Science and Technology to the marketplace. The candidate should hold a current position in a research environment in the industry and possess an excellent academic background, including demonstrated success in securing large-scale research funding and research commercialisation. Hiring Institution: NTU
- Design, plan, and implement effective and inclusive teaching arrangements and learning activities for MSE's undergraduate- and graduate-level courses face-to-face and/or through virtual delivery;
- Joint supervision and mentoring of undergraduate FYP, Masters and/or PhD students;
- Advise and support faculty members in identifying suitable funding opportunities and developing competitive research grant proposals for programmes (e.g. NRF-CRP) and various industry-related grants;
- Guide faculty in the technology commercialisation process, including the development of industry-relevant applications and prototypes and technology transfer activities;
- Give scientific seminars to the NTU community to promote knowledge sharing through active exchanges.
