Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of chargehands, workers and sub-contractors to perform on-site hull painting, cleaning, insulation and 'O' level task activities

• Assist in manpower and resource scheduling and deployment, daily man hour returns and coordinate in all aspects of site issues

• Update daily manpower deployment record and over time.

• Liaise with owners and paint representative and surveyor on complying with paint specifications and requirements

• Attend the daily VSCC meeting if necessary.

• Obtain entry into confined space permits or any other work permit system.

• Inspect and update the check list.

• Monitor job progress and ensure quality work at targeted schedule.

• Prepare reports on job status and project completion.

• Inspect vessels and ensure proper handling over to customers.

• Liaise and coordinate with other departments on project issues

• Update weekly progress and attend meeting

Requirements:

• NTC in any Engineering or technical fields
• At least 3 years working experience in a shipyard or similar environment
• Knowledge of Blasting and Painting operation
• Understand and able to interpret paint specifications
• Possess man management experience
• Able to make decision, render judgment and take appropriate actions
• Able to work under pressure and respond to changes on short notice
