The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) has undergone substantial transformation over the years. Key responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning for School of Materials Science and Engineering's Industry Engagement activities.
- Drive strategic partnerships and oversee outreach and industry engagement activities for both education and industrial alliance.
- Establish close partnership with industry sectors as well as government and promote interaction within the cross-industry ecosystem.
- Proactively engage both local and regional alliances and build a potential pipeline of industry partners to further Industry collaboration and R&D exchanges in MSE.
- Act as central point of contact (POC) and resource staff for all industry fronting matters and serve as liaison personnel with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of expectations / outcomes.
- Work closely with the Chair to plan and execute ecosystem building strategies and secure engagements with ecosystem stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage industry funded/related operations including planning meetings, organising events and budget and reporting requirements..
Requirements
- A recognized PhD more than 8 years of relevant experience in relevant areas, including leadership, relationship management, stakeholder engagement, marketing, project management, education and training.
- Proven track record in industry collaboration and experience in higher education sector will be advantageous.
- Strong leadership competencies with excellent interpersonal skills across organisational hierarchy and ability to work effectively with a diverse community.
- Knowledge of relevant industries, markets, and technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-driven with high integrity, resilience, creativity, and strategic mindset.
- Excellent in communication, analytical and people management skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure with a meticulous nature.
- Good teamwork and initiative to accomplish given tasks timely and accurately.
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
