A Full Professor of Implementation Science and Medical Education at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is expected to contribute to advancing research and teaching at the School. He/She is expected to undertake high quality internationally leading research in Implementation Science and Medical Education, in line with the overarching research strategy of Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, in addition to any other duties as assigned by the Director of MERSU and the Dean.

Key Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
- The postholder will contribute to a programme of medical education and implementation science research in LKCMedicine, helping to establish LKCMedicine as an international leader in the emerging hybrid field of implementation science and medical education research.
- The appointee is expected to undertake teaching and educational responsibilities for the training of medical students and postgraduate research students. Teaching methods will include team-based learning and e-learning.
- The appointee is expected to contribute to integration of implementation science into the MBBS curriculum and/or postgraduate courses, and to ensure the delivery of excellence in this area.
Primary Activities:
- Undertake high quality research activities by sustaining a personal research plan, developing innovative research proposals and funding bids, managing and undertaking research activities, publishing in international peer reviewed journals, reviewing manuscripts and grant applications when appropriate.
- Seek competitive grant and collaborative industry funding to develop a sustainable implementation science and medical education research programme.
- Facilitate engagement of LKCMedicine faculty in implementation science and medical education research, bridging across existing structures (e.g., the Medical Education Research and Scholarship Unit [MERSU], Centre for AI in Medicine [C-Aim], and the wider NTU community), to establish a diverse and cohesive community of practice across the continuum of medical education, training and practice.
- Contribute to, support and develop teaching and educational activity at undergraduate and graduate level, including supervision of undergraduate and graduate student research activities.
- Participate in academic committees and meet other administrative requirements as appropriate.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- MBBS/MD or PhD degrees
- Relevant postdoctoral and/or clinical experience
- Significant experience and outstanding record of implementation science and medical education research with a high level of academic achievement, productivity and impact in the field(s)
- Experience with leading and working across different disciplines and specialties
Management and Teamwork:
- Ability to lead and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work co-operatively with medical and non-medical staff
- Ability to supervise research staff and students
Communicating and Influencing:
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students
- Ability to motivate others
- Strong presentation skills

- Track record of having supervised graduate students to successful completion of PhDs.
