The Senior Executive is the subject matter expert in both leave, benefits and awards administration at NTU playing a crucial role in managing and administering employee leave and benefits programs. He/she will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory policies and guidelines related to the Employment Act, as well as the university's policies and procedures on leave and benefits administration. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave and benefits inquiries, processing leave requests, and coordinating with relevant departments to ensure accurate and timely administration. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and providing insights to improve leave and benefits processes. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to the overall employee experience and support the organization's HR objectives.

Responsibilities:

Leave & Benefits Administration
  • Manage all employees' leave and benefits matters, ensuring compliance with the University's policies as well as employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure seamless coordination of leave and benefits administration.
  • Provide advice and guidance to employees regarding leave and benefits matters, accurately and timely within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Analyze leave and benefits data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Attend to queries or feedback from stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
  • Process the monthly awards including but not limited to Long Service Awards, Extra Miles Awards as well as the annual National Day Award etc.


Relationship Management/Customer Relations
  • Work with colleagues within NTU Shared Services to ensure seamless HR end-to-end processes.
  • Work with and develop business relationship with all stakeholders including HR Business Partners, Hiring Managers, employees, colleagues to support and ensure alignment of HR transactional services with NTU HR policy & strategic direction.


Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in HR generalist or leave and benefits administration or a related HR role.
  • Knowledge of generalist HR practices and principles. Familiarity with statutory policies and guidelines related to the Employment Act
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with Workday procedures is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
