The Policy Planning Department (POPD) is responsible for the formulation of strategic policies related to environmental protection and public health.
As Assistant Manager/ Manager/ Executive Manager/ Assistant Director in POPD, you will work closely in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, and be involved in the following:
• \tFormulate and review key policies and strategies to achieve Singapore's environmental protection and public health objectives, taking into account factors such as global trends, technological developments, and research advancements.
• \tSupport Senior Management to advance NEA's strategic priorities, including aligning efforts across various Divisions and managing key inter-agency policy platforms.
• \tCoordinate preparation for Committee of Supply budget debates, replies to Parliamentary Questions, and legislative amendments.
• \tParticipate in cross-departmental workgroups on environmental protection and public health issues.
• \tOther duties as assigned.
The job might be for you if you possess the following:
• \tAt least 1 - 2 years of experience in policy-making and/or environmental management and/or inter-agency work, would be preferred.
• \tPassion for environmental protection and adept at engaging both industry and public stakeholders.
• \tAdaptable and able to handle diverse work scopes.
• \tHighly self-motivated; resourceful, resilient and able to work under tight timelines.
• \tStrong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• \tMeticulous with an eye for detail.
• \tProficient with Microsoft Office.
• \tKnowledge or experience with economic analysis/cost-benefit analysis would be an advantage.
• \tAble to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
