The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other researchers (including PhD students and research staff) to conduct research on the structure-property relationship of additively manufactured (AM) alloys.
  • Perform crystal plasticity modeling of the constitutive behavior of AM alloys
  • Conduct modelling of fracture resistance of AM alloys.
  • Develop machine learning models for high-throughput evaluation of mechanical properties.
  • Deliver project millstones timely and present the work on internal and external conferences.
  • Publish research results in reputable international journals.


Job Requirements
  • PhD degree in solid mechanics, mechanics of materials, or related fields.
  • Rich experience in theoretical and computational mechanics.
  • In-depth knowledge in additive manufacturing.
  • Good communication and writing in English as required in research work
  • Strong responsibility for research work.
  • Good publication record.
