STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Physiology Training Officer / Aviation Medical Specialist is a specialist position with necessary level of experience who is responsible for conducting training with his training In-charge. He is responsible also for reviewing the syllabus together with the SSTDO on training and advising both CGH and RSAF of new technologies for the conduct of such training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Providing daily oversight and management of staff in training section, including rostering and arranging for cover of training duties.
  • Assist Training In-charge to develop new curriculum for courses as required.
  • Assist Training In-charge to overseeing the programming of training courses (both RSAF and other courses for commercial clients)
  • To assist in liaising with MINDEF/RSAF regarding training matters relating to the Commercialization of Aeromedical Services Contract, and any other contracts which may be implemented between MINDEF and CGH with involvement of training.
  • To assist Training In-charge to liaise with RSAF on matters relating to aviation physiology training, APT expertise.
  • Responsible for managing, coordinating, maintaining all administrative matters for training section with both internal SCAC admin and CGH corporate services.
  • Always identify areas for incremental improvements and solve urgent problems.
  • Anticipate potential problems, source and manage available resources effectively and see through the solutions.
  • Conduct a proper and safe Training session as the SSTO with the support of the training team.
  • Handle all training sessions responsibly and safely with care and accountability.
  • Conduct efficient, effective and well-organised Training sessions with the support of the training team.
  • Ensures that checks have been made by the team to certify that the advanced APT simulators are safe and in good working order/condition in accordance with Aviation Industry Standards before conducting any training sessions.
  • Takes ownership and interest towards their own learning to ensure relevancy of the current skills.
  • Engaged and proactive at attending relevant training programmes.
  • Create a learning environment for continuous self-improvement and growth.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in Healthcare-related field is an advantage.
  • Past experience in healthcare-related industry or military aviation will be an advantage.
  • Team player and action oriented with excellent planning, analytical, communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Good team player.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Quick to learn and adapt to changing situation.
  • Willingness to take up challenges and show resilience in overcoming them.
  • Attention to detail, safety consciousness
  • Proficiency in operating the training simulators and strapping in of the trainees in the gondola.
  • To be familiar with Microsoft excel, Word and PowerPoint for report generation and presentation.
  • Client-centric and service-oriented.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
