The Laboratory of Regulatory Genomics (https://regulatory-genomics.com) is seeking to recruit a skilled and motivated individual interested in single cell RNA-sequencing technologies. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in cancer and molecular biology, single cell RNA-seq and cell culture techniques. The candidate will work with a team to develop new assays, perform high throughput single cell RNA-seq assays, and assist in the day-to-day operation of the lab. Job duties & responsibilities:

• Conduct wet-lab experiments, including mammalian cell culture, PCR, RT-qPCR, RNA/DNA purification, single-cell RNA-seq, Western blot, cellular assays, etc.
• Carefully and thoroughly document all procedures performed and results generated.
• Communicate, design, organize, and conduct the experiments efficiently. Complete assigned tasks on time.
• Laboratory maintenance: assist in organization and upkeep of laboratory supplies.
• Take on administrative roles where necessary, such as procurement of lab supplies, lab safety oversight.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Biological Science and Life Science disciplines or equivalent
• Deep commitment and interest in research, demonstrated from previous research experience.
• Solid knowledge in genomics, molecular biology and cancer biology
• Experience with mammalian cell culture, molecular biology techniques and RNA-seq.
• Experience in single cell RNA-seq and bioinformatics (Python, R) will be valued.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, able to follow protocols precisely and take detailed lab notebooks
