The Innovation & Enterprise Fellowship Programme (IFP) seeks to grow the pool of deep-tech talent in Singapore with the capabilities to support the commercialisation of deep-tech research and bring nascent technologies to market. Targeting researchers, scientists, and engineers (RSEs), the programme aims to develop industry relevant innovation and entrepreneurial skills through both formal and on-the-job training.
At EDDC, our goal is to discover and develop novel therapeutics by working collaboratively with public sector and industry partners. EDDC now has an opening and is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Research Associate in the Oncology Discovery team at EDDC. The successful candidate will participate and support inter-disciplinary and collaborative drug discovery projects. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the team working on the discovery of novel therapeutics and engaging in preclinical drug development from target exploration to drug candidate selection.

Principle Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and perform biochemical, biophysical and cellular assays including flow cytometry, ELISA and Western blotting for target validation and functional characterization of biologics and small molecules.
- Perform molecular cloning, stable cell-line generation, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, siRNA/shRNA knockdown and qPCR.
- Analyze and present experimental data in a clear and concise manner, demonstrating a good understanding of its utilization and implications in the context of drug discovery.
- Support laboratory housekeeping, safety check, SOP writing and other administrative and compliance-related processes.
Requirements:
- Degree or postgraduate in biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences or related disciplines
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience
- Proficient in designing and conducting experiments within the areas of cancer biology
- Experience in flow cytometry and immunoassays
- Experience in establishing high-throughput screening assays with the aim of identifying hits is a plus.
- Attentioin of detaiils, strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, deliver results within timelines
- Good written and oral communication skills, meticulous record-keeping
- Possess strong interpersonal and collaborative spirit
