Part-Time Lecturer - Public Policy and Global Affairs
The Public Policy and Global Affairs Programme, School of Social Sciences, invites applications for part-time lecturers (PTLs). We are looking for PTLs who can contribute to teaching (conducting seminars, lectures, tutorials and assessment) in our Programme, particularly in these areas:
• Political Theory (including but not limited to the history of political thought, contemporary political theory, non-Western political theory, analytic political thought)
• Public Policy or Public Administration (including but not limited to public policy and administration in Singapore and Asia, policy implementation, AI and governance, sustainability)
• Environmental governance
• Civil society
• Gender and development
• Ethics and Civics
• Comparative politics
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop course materials and syllabus
• Conduct seminars/lectures/tutorials
• Develop assessments for the course
• Grade course assignments (including tests, quizzes, exam scripts)
• Invigilate the final examination.
• Handle all student queries on course related matter
• Work with the Head of Division to ensure smooth and timely course delivery
Qualification and requirement:
• A least a PhD in social sciences, specialisation in a political science subfield will be an advantage
• Prior tutoring/lecturing experience will be an advantage
• Able to teach and invigilate during office hours
