The Earth Observatory of Singapore is looking for a passionate Project Officer about producing video and multimedia content to communicate and engage with a broad audience about geohazards and climate change to promote safer and more sustainable societies.

The Video and Multimedia Specialist will be part of the EOS Community Engagement Office and will responsible for the coordination, development and production of videos and multimedia that aim to inform, educate and engage different audiences about the findings and activities of EOS and its research programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and produce video and multimedia content that elevate the research findings and activities of the institute and its research programmes, and support the institute mission, under the guidance of the Communications Manager.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop video plans that leverage the CE Office editorial calendar and scheduled research projects.
  • Produce content that supports the strategies of the Digital Communications Specialist across owned and earned social media channels.
  • Maintain video and photo equipment, and contribute video and multimedia content to the institute Digital Asset Library.
  • Support the CE Office engagement initiatives, by taking photos and videos as appropriate.
  • Manage own assigned projects and meet deadlines, and attend meetings as appropriate.
  • Ensure consistent branding and identity across products.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and at least 2 - 4 years of experience.
  • Experience with creating long-form videos that use storytelling to communicate about science-related topics.
  • Experience with creating short videos for social media platforms.
  • Experience with integrating multimedia elements to create compelling and engaging content for a broad audience.
  • Experience with the Adobe Suite, such as Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Well organised and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work with multiple agendas and goals in a graceful manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and written communication skills.
