The School of Materials Science & Engineering invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

In mRNA therapies, the primary challenges are overcoming the cell membrane barrier as well as the problem of endosomal entrapment, where delivery vehicles containing mRNA are uptaken and eventually degraded. The delivery methods currently employed to tackle these key challenges, exhibit significant limitations, including low efficiency, size restrictions on encapsulated substances, and dose-dependent cytotoxicity. To solve these issues, we aim to use a versatile delivery platform based on peptide coacervate microdroplets (PCMs) formulation and validate in vivo.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the progress of various related projects
  • Assist in student supervision
  • Summarize the research project by providing monthly report

Job Requirements:
  • Candidates with a PhD background in biology and/or Materials Science, or nanoparticles formulation and characterisation, nanomedicine, in vivo experiment, are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English

We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
